"אף אחד לא חדר לקיבוץ"
מיכה רגב, רבש"ץ יד־מרדכי. זיהה את הפלישה מהאוויר והסתער על האויב.
"עם אזעקות הצבע אדום שנשמעו בבוקר, הקפצתי את כיתת הכוננות. יצאתי החוצה וזיהיתי בקאי (מצנח רחיפה) בשמיים מעל הקיבוץ. התפרסנו במטרה לזהות את מקום הנחיתה. נסעתי עם שלושה חברי כיתת הכוננות לכיוון הרפת, שם פרקנו. פתאום שמענו קולות דיבור בערבית, אז יריתי לכיוונם.

"פיצוץ גדול החריד את הקיבוץ, רצתי לכיוון השער הקדמי ופתחתי באש בכיוון המחבלים, בזמן ששאר הכוחות נפרסו בחלק המערבי של הקיבוץ. ליד הרפת זיהינו רכב מחבלים. איגפנו אותם מכיוון הפרדס וחיסלנו את כולם. אף אחד לא חדר לקיבוץ".
