Sharing mainly to explain and spread what we went through in Hamel Kissufim, The questions running on the internet where the female observers were.
At four in the morning, Saturday, I got up for another shift, It starts at half past six, the lights on the beacon, the sirens and incessant booms, deafening, everything happens in seconds.
Everybody has at least three squads in different reporting lines, and then it happens to me, dozens of terrorists, I couldn't count, motorcycles, a tractor breaking through the fence followed by vans.
Everything feels unreal like a computer game, "tomorrow I will wake up in the morning and tell everyone that I dreamed that I had a raid"
I identify an explosion, I'm sure that the Air Force is attacking, we're under control! After two seconds I realized that I was wrong, the explosion came from them to breach the fence. The terrorists continue, on their way to our military base - Kisufim, they are on their way to attack us.
I was waiting to see on the cameras that the Air Force would bomb them, but it didn't happen.
The camera falls, relying on the monitor. They are here!
We are running, hiding, girls fainting, praying, discovering that our friends are in the residence, in the background shouts in Arabic, gunshots, we were praying so hard, and the heartbreaking cries of the baby who is not even a year old! And why is this world so cruel.. In retrospect, I understand how much divine protection was upon us! The most relevant camera came to life, it works! We are relatively in control and coming out of hiding, the monitor room looks like the kind of murder scene that you see on the news but is censored because the scenes are so terrible. The floor is full of blood, and you try to calm down and keep calm while helping the wounded. I'm on the phone, calling the main war room: "It's Adi! She is in residence, she is hiding and they will come to rescue her as soon as possible" More phones from citizens who are looking for their loved ones from the party in Reiim. The fighters who were just with us in the war room received an alert to go to the main gate to get a picture of the situation because the connection was lost, were hit by an IED and never returned to the control again. There were seven fighters left, "If reinforcements don't arrive soon we will die" The electricity went out, the generator too, the electric door of the room opened, terrorists were walking around the base and the door was open.. They begin to move positions to block the door, more fighters with their finger on the trigger in front of the door. A total darkness, reinforcements started arriving at ten at night, and they rescued us.
A 7-minute walk from the base to the buses in a row, quietly running, tears in our eyes, and bodies lying on the floor, 7 minutes that felt like an eternity. I'm at home, my heart aches, for my sisters who didn't survive, the friends from the base that I'll only see in pictures, and the people who were kidnapped and I can't imagine what they're going through. There are certain situations that are ingrained into my head and cannot be erased.
