"I want to tell you the story of Uriel Segal, a neighbor of mine who I knew since he was born, an amazing guy, who was always fun to meet and died in battle at the Kissufim base.
About 30 soldiers were in the base during the holiday when terrorists broke in and started killing them. Uriel, along with several other soldiers, were in the base's dining hall at the time.
The terrorists started throwing grenades into the dining room, and Uriel caught the grenades before they exploded, and threw them back towards the terrorists. One by one, grenade after grenade, until the last terrorist left standing shot Uriel and killed him. His two friends, who were injured during the battle, managed to defeat the terrorist. At his funeral that took place today, they paid tribute to him, recounted his unimaginable heroism and thanked him: "Without you, we wouldn't have gotten out of there alive."
"Only a few survived the battle in the Kissufim base."
